NEXT HOTEL

Complete refurbishment and upgrading of a four-star hotel on Rua Carvalho Araújo in Funchal, in an established tourist area. The intervention covers an existing building (1990), with the aim of modernising the whole, correcting operational shortcomings and adapting it to the sector's current requirements, without any substantial increase in massing or significant changes to the facade.

The hotel now offers 97 accommodation units, comprising double rooms, studios and apartments. The functional reorganisation improves internal flows, links technical and service areas with public spaces and enhances the guest experience. The lower floors concentrate technical and operational infrastructure, freeing the upper levels and the terrace for stay and leisure functions, with the rooftop as the highlight.
